The Ladies’ Section has more than 50 playing members at present with many social members.

We are a very welcoming club and enjoy an active competition schedule. The summer season, starting in April, has many varied fun events and competitions mainly played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These include 18 hole and 9 hole competitions as well as greensomes, foursomes and Texas Scrambles. The dates for these can be found in the ‘Fixture Lists’ under ‘Members’. There are two playing categories; Division One (handicap 1- 20) and Division Two (handicap 21 and above). Our annual ‘Championship’ is held in June which is played over 3 rounds.

Our Winter season starts in November. We play a Ringer and Eclectic over 9 or 18 holes on Tuesdays and a 12 hole Winter League on Thursdays when the weather allows. Our ladies are a hardy bunch and play throughout the winter if possible. Being right on the coast, our course is quite often still open when others nearby are closed due to snow and ice.

If you are new to golf, we will be happy to play a few holes with you and help you to make sense of some of the rules of the game. Not all of our members play in competitions and some are more than happy to enjoy the stunning views while trying to hit the ball, with a stick, into a hole in the ground!

The Ladies’ Committee hold social events throughout the year with the Spring Lunch, Christmas Lunch and Annual Prize Giving being popular.
